Hello everyone….the answer no one has is: is the pandemic over? Things are starting to open here, amid restrictions, masks and reservations for almost everything. Do you notice that the news focuses on number of confirmed cases rather than deaths. So that means that people are still getting tested, but less people are dying…generally. I think that is some good news. Mixed though it is.
Most food places around here want orders by phone or email, then contactless payment. Many places want reservations ahead of time, since there are less tables because they are more spread out.
We ate in a restaurant last Wednesday after I had spent another 9 hours giving way too much blood for more bloodwork. A long day, but its now finished. Waiting for results, but that should be at least 2 weeks for that.
Anyway, dinner was lovely, and I was so exhausted but content after eating! It “felt” safe, except I would have liked the server to be wearing a mask. Plenty of room between tables, all that was fine. I thought it would be longer till we ate out, but we just went for it. I was in no shape to make dinner, and John suggested it. I got some pictures of the swan family out the window. How charming!
You can see it's still wet. I made it over to see the lambs too, earlier in the week, but cut it short because of the rain. Its England! Haha, and its fine! See Lisa, the shepherdess near the tree. She “talks sheep” and they come to her. I’m trying to learn to speak "sheep” too. I understand that the shearer have come since I was there, so the mamas have gotten their wool coats off now. What a relief, I would imagine. Some day I would to be there and see it happen!
3 last pictures. I practice dress(called a toile) of the pattern test. It is destined to be a nightgown. In its previous life it was a divot cover. On the end table beside me is some unused yarn and books I brought for when grandchildren come to visit. One of these days! Next is the clouds out my livingroom window, then cows coming to check me out as I walked up the road nearby. Maybe they hoped I would bring them some treats or do something interesting. I would never feed cows, they graze mostly, I think. I was a little tempted to try a knock knock joke on them, but decided that would be weird. I mean, they were a great audience. After a mile or so I walked back, and they were still there. HA!

Anyway, except for the massive bloodletting, it was a very good week. The week ahead looks sunny and nice, but not too warm. John’s work schedule is still horrible, but we hope for some changes soon. He is working 3am to 9am in the office, then 2 hours teleworking. Craziness! Love you all, be safe, but get out there if you can.Next
Love ya, miss you all dearly!
